Steele County Recreation Assistance Program
Program Purpose To assist local communities or private organizations increase and/or enhance recreation facilities.
Eligible Projects Development/Redevelopment of parkland or recreational facilities in Steele County. Project must be of a capital improvement nature. Not intended for assistance in the maintenance of equipment or facilities.
Who May Apply Municipalities, townships, private organizations in Steele County.
Level of Assistance Up to $5000.00 is available per fiscal year. Amount awarded depends on the scope of the project, other sources of funding, and participants in the project.
General Information Funding comes from the Steele County Park and Recreation Department budget.

Completed application must be submitted to the Steele County Park and Recreation Department. A presentation to the Steele County Park and Recreation Board is required. Application deadline is November 1. Applicants will be notified February 15 regarding their funding request.
