Steele County Attorney

The County Attorney is elected by the citizens of Steele County for a four-year term. The Steele County Attorney's Offices are located in the County Office Building at 303 S Cedar, Owatonna MN 55060.

Steele County Probation Services

The Steele County Probation Services Department provides services to the District Court in Juvenile Delinquency, and Criminal (Gross Misdemeanor and Misdemeanor offenses). The Steele County Probation Services office is located in the lower level of the Court House at 111 E Main, Owatonna MN 55060.

Steele County District Court

The Steele County District Court and Administration are located in the Steele County Court House located at 111 E Main St, Owatonna MN 55060.

Steele County Law Enforcement

The Sheriff's Office is responsible for keeping and preserving the peace within the County and oversees the operation of the Steele County Detention Center. The Steele County Sheriff's Office is on the first floor of the Steele County Law Enforcement Center located at 204 E Pearl, Owatonna MN 55060.

Steele County Emergency Management

The Steele County Emergency Management Office coordinates the development and updating of the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) that addresses all types of hazards that may affect the citizens and visitors of Steele County. Emergency Management is a continuous cycle of Preparedness - Mitigation - Response - Recovery.  Elected and appointed government officials all play important roles in the EOP.  Service and support agencies also play important roles.  Emergency Management brings these diverse backgrounds and roles together to assure that the best possible plan is developed and kept up to date..
