The Steele County Sheriff’s Office has two investigators, who between them, represent over fifty years of experience with our office.

The investigators are considered a part of the Patrol Division. In addition to maintaining the same license/training as the Patrol Division, they are educated in the following investigative areas: fraud, sex crimes, arson, death, narcotics and homicide. Other areas where they have received professional training include: writing/executing search warrants, surveillance, informant management and clandestine lab certification. It is also their responsibility to review the reports turned in by the Patrol Deputies to ensure they are completed in a thorough and respectable manner.
