1.  How can I find out who my probation officer is? 

If you have appeared in Juvenile Court, or if you are an Adult with a conviction for a Misdemeanor or Gross Misdemeanor Level offense in Steele County, stop by our office in the Steele County Courthouse or call us at 507-444-7720.  If you are an Adult and convicted of a Felony level offense please contact the Minnesota Department of Corrections at 507-431-6000.

2.  How do I find out my fine balance?

Contact Steele County Court Administration at 507-444-7700.

3.  Where are you located?

We are located in the Steele County Courthouse at 111 East Main Street, Owatonna, MN 55060.

4.  Can I change my Court date?

Court dates are handled by Steele County Court Administration.  Please contact them at 507-444-7700.

5.  Can I complete Community Service Work in lieu of my fine and how do I set up a work site?

In Steele County the Court allows offenders to complete Community Service Work in lieu of a portion of some fine payments.  Please contact Steele County Courthouse by stopping by our office located in the Steele County Courthouse or contact us at 507-444-7720 to arrange completion of the necessary paperwork and determination of an appropriate work site to complete the hours.
