The Auditor's office is located on the first floor of the Steele County Administration Center at 630 Florence Ave.

The Auditor's office handles the calculation of property tax rates, delinquent taxes, property transfers, and county ditch administration. Tax and Parcel information is available on line.  You may obtain information on Steele County Property by following the Steele County Tax Data and Map Information link on the left.  The Steele County plat book may be purchased at this office.

In addition they issue the following miscellaneous licenses: auctioneers, liquor, tattoo, transient merchants, and peddlers.

This office is responsible for the internal county functions of payroll, accounts receivable/payable, and recording of commissioner minutes.  You can see the published financial statement by following the link on the left.

Elections are conducted out of this office.  They handle all county voter registration, absentee ballots and is the central counting center.  You may obtain further election information by following the links provided at the left.
