CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS - DETENTION CENTER
Steele County Detention Center is taking applications for Corrections Officers to fulfill a Department of Corrections (DOC) contract. These positions are full-time and contingent on the DOC contract. The positions involve the care and control of inmates (male/female) in the Steele County Detention Center. The employee is responsible for making decisions based on Department of Corrections Rules and Department Policies and Procedures. Assignments are performed according to established policies and procedures.

HOME HEALTH AIDE-PT
Steele County Public Health Nursing Service is seeking a part-time Home Health Aid for the Adult Health Division. Responsibilities include working with individuals and families in the clients’ home providing personal care activities and other duties as assigned. The position requires certification as an HHA, valid MN driver’s license, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The position is part-time up to 19 hours/week (scheduled on an as needed basis); starting wage is $11.68 to $12.51 per hour.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST STEELE COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH
Steele County Public Health Nursing Service is seeking to contract with a Registered Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include working with adult clients in their homes. FOUR SEASONS/PARK & REC PT ARENA & PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER
The Steele County Four Seasons/Park and Rec Department has openings for part time arena and park maintenance workers. The work involves responsibility for performing a variety of tasks requiring some skill and knowledge acquired through work experience. Assignments frequently include the use of standard or specialized hand tools, ability to operate light equipment, and the ability to associate with the general public. Work includes setting up and maintaining an ice sheet, care and maintenance of arena and other recreational areas.
Requirements for this position are a High School diploma and a valid driver’s license. Desired qualification is experience in maintenance of park and recreational facilities and ice arena.

PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE
Steele County Public Health Nursing Service is seeking a full-time Public Health Nurse for the Family Health Division. Under the direct supervision of the Family Health Lead, the nurse will work in the general area of Maternal and Child Health (MCH). This involves visits with pregnant and post-partum mothers, working with children with special needs and their parents, communications with the Minnesota Department of Health, and car seat education. Some work in the area of Women’s, Infants and Children (WIC) is also required. Requires current MN RN licensure, valid MN driver’s license, knowledge of public health principles, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Baccalaureate degree with PHN certification and Maternal/Child Health experience is preferred. Starting wage range is $24.49- $28.28per hour, plus benefits.

CHS ADMINISTRATOR (Steele/Dodge Counties)
Steele County is currently recruiting for a Community Services Division Director/CHS Administrator. Under the direction of the County Administrator, the Community Services Division Director/Community Health Services Administrator is responsible for managing, administering and overseeing the long range plans, direction and strategic objectives of Steele County Community Services (Public Health, Environmental & Veteran Services and Extension) and Dodge County Public Health and for implementing the policies, goals and directives as approved by the governing Board. The Community Services Division Director/CHS Administrator implements the division directives and goals through overseeing and supervising the activities of the Public Health Departments in Steele and Dodge Counties, Steele County Extension Services, and Steele County Environmental Services Dept. Heads who are charged with the implementation and supervision of the daily operations and delivery of agency programs and services.
Minimum of 8 years previous supervisory experience in the delivery of Community Service or Public Health Programs or a comparable level of education and experience to perform the work. Experience in Community Health Services is desirable. Salary range: $83,948 - $117,520 annually.
