HOME HEALTH AIDE-PT
Steele County Public Health Nursing Service is seeking a part-time Home Health Aid for the Adult Health Division. Responsibilities include working with individuals and families in the clients’ home providing personal care activities and other duties as assigned. The position requires certification as an HHA, valid MN driver’s license, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The position is part-time up to 19 hours/week (scheduled on an as needed basis); starting wage is $11.68 to $12.51 per hour.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST STEELE COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH

Steele County Detention Center is taking applications for Corrections Officers to fulfill a Department of Corrections (DOC) contract. These positions are full-time, and contingent on the DOC contract. The positions involve the care and control of inmates (male/female) in the Steele County Detention Center. Steele County Human Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Account Technician in the Fiscal Unit. Duties include working with Accounts receivable and Accounts payable functions, billing claims on multiple state systems, work with MEC2 child care system, and compilation of monthly and quarterly reports. Math and accounting skills, accuracy and attention to detail, communication and statistical skills are needed and used in daily work. Interacts daily with co-workers, workers within other departments of Steele County, workers from other counties, state employees, and individuals of the public.
Minimum qualifications: High school diploma, two years of accounting work experience, must be proficient on the computer with above average knowledge of Excel and its functions. Prefer a two year accounting/business degree and some experience in a Human Services Department. Grade 18 wage range is $14.02-$19.50 per hour, plus benefits. CHILD SUPPORT OFFICER
Steele County Human Services has an opening for a full-time Child Support Officer. This position performs paralegal functions related to the establishment and enforcement of child support orders for public assistance and non-public assistance clients; locates absent parents; interviews mothers and alleged fathers to establish paternity, explains rights and obligations and negotiates settlements; initiates necessary legal actions; works closely with the county attorney, judges, court administrators, child support magistrates, local attorneys, income maintenance and social service staff, employers, and a variety of other resource personnel; testifies in court proceedings; and maintains all necessary and legal documentation.
Minimum Qualifications: Two years of experience as a Support Enforcement Aide or Collections Officer with responsibility of carrying out a part of child support collections; or three years’ experience in work related to child support collections in a county social services agency (e.g., providing clerical or other support services to the child support and collections unit); or three years’ experience as an Eligibility Worker or the equivalent in a public human services agency; or four years’ experience in collections work outside of a county social services setting; or three years of college with emphasis in criminal justice, public administration, business administration, paralegal, social work, psychology, sociology, or related human services field. Experience may be substituted for education and education may be substituted for experience in order to meet the qualifications. Applicants subject to criminal background check. Grade 26, starting hourly wage is $17.71 - $24.73, depending upon qualifications.
