The Steele County Area Transit currently operates three dial-a-ride buses throughout Steele County. Buses are 18-passenger mini-buses and are fully accessible. We can drive you to medical, social, shopping and recreational activities, as well as work…wherever you need to go.
We operate anywhere within Steele County limits and it costs as little as $1.75 per ride in Owatonna using a pre-purchased ticket. Without a pre-paid ticket each one-way trip is $2.00 cash in Owatonna (drivers do not make change). Each one-way trip outside of Owatonna or between any two Steele County cities is $2.50. A $2.50 “Gold Ticket” is available for purchase. All tickets can be purchased at the Steele County Auditor’s Office in the Steele County Administration Center, and both Cashwise and Hy-Vee grocery stores.
Buses operate 7 days a week!
